The administrative assistant performs delegated tasks that are prescribed, directed, and supervised by the licensed audiologist.
Tasks may include:
Clerical duties such as scheduling appointments, preparing materials, record keeping and review, data management, supply inventory, tracking and ordering.
Administers assessments of audiology services, provided to determine patient satisfaction, or degree of functional improvement.
Evaluates hearing aid function and fit; prepares hearing aids, ear molds, and accessories for delivery; performs hearing aid troubleshooting, care and maintenance; makes minor hearing aid repairs; performs check and maintenance of supplies and equipment.
Performs infection control measures pertaining to audiological devices, testing equipment, and exam rooms.
