Production Supervisor

Work Schedule: Mon – Fri 3pm – 11:30pm

Mission: The 2nd Shift Machine Shop Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safety, quality, and productivity of the Machine Shop. Working hands on with the 1st Shift Supervisor in preparing work schedules, lead the 2nd Shift Machine Shop Team through safety and training initiatives; troubleshooting to meet quality standard and production schedule requirements. Must have proficiency and/or equivalent experience in managing heavy machinery (a plus  with experience in CNC Lathe, Mill – Doosan, Hwacheon and HAAS equipment).

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities · Ensure the overall quality, productivity, and safety of the 2nd shift team. · Weekly schedule shift work of CNC Machining, Setup and Operating; completed to meet customer demand. · Coordinate 2nd Shift PM Maintenance, 5S and Lean events with other shifts. · Ability to learn and administer Programming, Program Selection and Program Editing on CNC equipment; assist team in troubleshoot of equipment. · Interpret engineering drawings / correct tool selection to manufacture parts using CNC machinery. · Ensure Quality Inspection forms (inspect/test component) are completed by Operators. · Provide training and orientation for new employees. · Utilize Machine Metrics Program; ability to generate shift performance reports. · Maintain an ISO 9001 compliant working environment and adhere with quality management systems. · Provide backup coverage to 1stshift Machine Shop / Assembly Supervisors. · Other duties assigned to meet the production needs onsite. Qualifications: · Preferred College or Technical Degree. [Engineering background a plus] · 3-5+ years Manufacturing experience required · Experience in managing ISO 9001 (a plus) · Managing and training a team in a shop manufacturing environment · Strong written and verbal communications skills · Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite · Programs utilized Sage and Machine Metrics
