Seasoned Sales Representative (Base + Commission & Partially Remote)

Job Description

We are looking for a results-driven seasoned sales representative to help take our CBD company to a new level! You are a self-starter who is passionate about the CBD industry and the growth we see for the future. You will actively seek out and engage and close prospective customers. This is a business to business model with a vision for white label product expansion as well as offering a retail brand. This is an exciting opportunity to sell high quality CBD and hemp products for use in the personal care, pharmaceutical and other market channels. This position will be both working at the manufacturing facility as well as remotely, out of your home office or on the road. This role requires you to commute to various locations in your prospective areas to meet with and present products to potential customers. This is an amazing opportunity to join the early stages of a CBD startup company.

 

Qualifications

  • Experience:
    • Sales, 5+ years (Required)
    • Account Management, 5+ years (Required)
    • Cold Calling, 5+ years (Required)
    • Personal Care, dietary supplements, pharmaceutical/medical product industry experience (preferred)
    • Cannabis/hemp industry knowledge (preferred)
    • Well networked in the cannabis/hemp industry
    • Familiarity with Social Media platforms
    • Comfortable with learning new software and modules
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's – Sales, Marketing, Advertising or related field (preferred)
  • Location:
    • New England and Mid-Atlantic Area Focus for year 1-3, then territory expansion (with the ability to visit the facility in NE CT on a minimum weekly or bi-weekly basis)

Essential Duties:

  • Identify potential customers, initiate, and manage prospects through cold calling, email, social media, onsite meetings, and brand awareness.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships virtually and through regular site visits to ensure maximum client success
  • Account Management, assist customer placing online orders as needed
  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business relationships to ensure future sales
  • Utilize selling techniques and market strategies to expand and build upon client base
  • Analyze the territory/market's potential, track sales and status reports
  • Monitor competition by gathering information on pricing, products, market presence, etc.
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
  • Must have a car to travel to customer sites and/or deliver products
  • Generating quotes through CRM
  • Assisting with trade show participation and conference preparation
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends and attend industry conferences and events

Who you are:

  • Minimum 5 years work experience as a seasoned sales representative
  • Experience in CBD sales is preferred
  • Ability to deliver presentations tailored to the customer needs
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in direct sales
  • Deep selling, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, negotiating, and closing skills
  • Excellent prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent Relationship and Account management experience
  • Must maintain a high level of integrity, personal motivation, and sense of urgency
  • Deep knowledge of MS-Office, including Power Point and Excel, Sales Force and Zoom
  • Extensive experience making outbound sales calls
  • Account Management, assist customer placing online orders as needed
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional / sales trends
  • Able to work independently and communicate with in-house team regularly
  • Proven track record of success in obtaining and maintaining accounts
