JOB SUMMARY: The Assistant Director will help manage the process of identifying, qualifying, and soliciting annual fund donors through personal solicitation, direct mail appeals, corporate and foundation giving to maintain and grow NEC's annual giving program.

This position reports to the Associate Director of Annual Giving. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Oversee and maintain annual giving budget to successfully manage vendors and projects throughout the fiscal year. Manage numerous largescale annual giving direct mail and digital marketing appeals, including writing, designing, constituent data preparation, production, and mailing.

Identify and reactivate leadership donors with the capacity to give $1,500+ to grow NEC's leadership giving society annually. Cultivate, steward, and solicit a portfolio of donors to ensure leadership gifts are renewed at same or higher level. Maintain the annual giving calendar, including the schedule of mail, email, phone appeals, and events.

Write annual grant proposals and reports for foundation and corporate general operating grants. Assist with monthly and annual reporting for annual giving program. Plan and execute events as needed.

Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree A minimum of two - four years' relevant advancement experience, preferably in educational institutions Experience with conducting solicitations preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Manage multiple assignments simultaneously in a well-organized fashion with strong ability to prioritize. Nights, weekends, and travel as needed. Must be able to meet deadlines, able to adapt to shifting priorities and multi-task accordingly.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately and with discretion. Attention to detail. Professional and personable demeanor under pressure and with high-powered individuals is essential.

Strong Windows-based computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Familiarity with Raiser's Edge preferred.
