Job Description

Neuvirth Construction primarily performs underground utilities and construct industrial buildings. We are a family owned and operated business established in 1985. Neuvirth Construction is looking for a Construction Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and lay-out work. Ensure project specific needs are acquired prior to work starting.
  • Coordinate with Project Superintendent in development of a project site logistics plan
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the project plans, specifications and schedules as they relate to that portion of the work assigned. Review with crews throughout the project to ensure proper execution.
  • Examine/inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost saving measures that arise or that may be encountered. Take corrective actions as needed.
  • Inspect work for compliance with the contract plans and specifications, point out deficiencies and take any corrective action needed.
  • Track and capture quantities completed on the project and review for accuracy.
  • Identify safety hazards and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.
  • Develop, schedule and lead project close-out processes
  • Assist in managing subcontractors
  • Coordinates and manages the work of subcontractors, and has a proven track record in doing so.
  • Gain a complete understanding of the scope of work and the related parts of the project.
  • Create & Maintain detailed 6-week project schedule in Excel format (Requirement: Excel Training Course Completed and/or Proven Ability to Establish/Maintain Schedule).
  • Able to coordinate and manage multiple subcontractors/trades.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • Must have a current valid driver's license.
  • 3+ years experience in related field
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

·         Proficiency in basic computer software programs such as Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, and Outlook. Employee should have the ability to learn other specific software (B2W, Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, etc.)

  • Experienced dealing with subcontracts, subcontractors and/or self-perform work

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Sciences preferred

·         Supervisory experience in similar construction technology, methods, equipment, tools and work procedures
