Job Description
Salary: $26 - $28/ hour

We are continually seeking candidates to join our team

The PRN LPN Float Nurse will function under the responsibility of the Physician, NP or PA. The LPN is an integral part of the interdisciplinary health team that will assist in the care of patients, including administration of treatments, education, triage and clinic flow activities.


In addition, the LPN Float Nurse must be able to travel to all NTCO locations to provide applicable coverage for all positions.


Responsibilities:

  • Consistent patient centered, caring disposition
  • Contact NP/PA, or supervising Physician when required or when in doubt for additional changes during initial or follow up visits.
  • Knowledge of the scope of practice in accordance with the Oklahoma Nurse Practice Act
  • Performs routine clinic tasks including injections, maintaining a clean environment and keeping appropriate exam room inventory
  • Evaluates and adjusts treatments as necessary to meet the patients needs in collaboration with NP, PA or Physician
  • Assists with taking patient information and rooming patients when needed
  • Documents all patients changes and educates patient on ways to improve health outcome (ie…diet, exercise, smoking or ETOH cessation, FSBS control)
  • Maintains professional appearance at all times
  • Maintains confidentiality of patients and staff
  • Maintains a clean environment between patients
  • Helps to maintain cleanliness of clinic
  • Performs appropriate, specific anatomical placement of the electrodes as well as programming of the electrostimulation device according to symptoms, treatment site and direction of nursing staff.
  • Monitor patients on the electrostimulation device for disconnections, errors in machine, patient comfort and completion of programs
  • Performs all duties related to decontamination (cleaning all chairs, remotes, sponges, cups and pads) between each and every patient use
  • Provides exceptional customer service to all patients by providing a comfortable and caring environment
  • Proficient in electronic medical records and basic computer skills

Qualifications:

  • Certification from an accredited LPN program
  • Licensed in the state of Oklahoma
  • Must have a current unencumbered license
  • CPR certification
  • Previous work in clinic preferred but not required
