Technical Support Technician II

Network Medics, powered by NuMSP is looking for an Technical Support Technician II to join our growing team! This position serves to help our small to medium-sized business customers operate more efficiently by implementing the proper use of today's technologies. All Tier 2 technicians will be expected to have strong customer-oriented consultative skills that also have strong technology and troubleshooting skills. In this role, you will provide desktop, server, and network support for numerous businesses, with a focus on Level 1 & 2 issues. This position is a great combination of both the consulting side and the technical side of the business.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/EXPERIENCE:

  • Advanced desktop support
  • Installation and troubleshooting of applications, including Microsoft and third-party applications
  • Antivirus and antimalware troubleshooting and configuration
  • Office 365 user set up and configuration
  • Smartphone email setup and troubleshooting
  • Email troubleshooting and configuration
  • Network troubleshooting and configuration, including wired and wireless networks
  • Printer troubleshooting and configuration
  • AD and DNS issues/changes
  • Firewall Installation/Configuration
  • Install/troubleshoot servers, antivirus, backups, and firewalls
  • Installation and configuration of VMWare and/or other hypervisors
  • Virtual server maintenance
  • Server installation and migration
  • Identifying technology solutions based on analysis of customer support needs
  • Strong and consistent communication with customers
  • Documenting work performed and other technical information for our clients

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-4 years relevant IT experience
  • Associate’s degree preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the installation, configuration, and maintenance of (a) software systems, including: Microsoft Windows, Office, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Exchange Server; (b) personal computer and server hardware; and (c) network technologies, including firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points
  • CompTIA A+ and Network+, Microsoft MCSA, and Cisco CCENT certifications strongly preferred
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Exhibits adaptability and strong problem solving skills
  • Exhibits patience and persistence

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must have a reliable vehicle
  • Must have the ability to lift 30lbs
  • Must be available evenings and weekends as needed
