THE OPPORTUNITY:

NetSecurity seeks a full-time Expert Penetration Tester to support our contract with a government agency. In this role, you’ll be responsible for executing penetration testing and hacking into highly secured and segmented networks leveraging evasive techniques without triggering IDS and detection technologies.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Execute deep penetration testing techniques against a very large and complex network, leveraging advanced threat actors’ TTPs

· Compromise and break into highly segmented networks without detection

· Reverse engineer application and encryption methods in order to gain access to sensitive data

· Develop scripts and automate simple tasks using languages such as PowerShell, Batch, Bash, Perl, Python, or Ruby

· Develop, extend, or modify exploits, shellcode or exploit tools

· Develop applications in C#, ASP.NET, C, C++, Go, or Java (J2EE), if necessary

· Reverse engineer malware, data obfuscators, or ciphers

· Perform source code review to identify security flaws

· Identify and exploit misconfigurations or vulnerability of IT assets

· Develop professional-grade reports and brief technical and executive stakeholders

· Lead penetration testing engagements for private sector customers

· Perform network penetration, web and mobile application testing, source code reviews, threat analysis, wireless network assessments, and social-engineering assessments for private sector customers

 

REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor's Degree and a minimum 7 years of experience, 5 in professional penetration testing

· BS/BA degree in IT, engineering or related field and 9 or more years of work experience in IT

· Strong knowledge of tools used for wireless, web application, and network security testing

· Thorough understanding of network protocols, data on the wire, and covert channels

· Mastery of Unix/Linux/Mac/Windows operating systems, including bash and PowerShell

· Strong management, teamwork, and interpersonal skills against difficult due dates and timelines.

· Strong written and verbal skills to effectively communicate at all levels in government and industry.

· Exceptionally self-motivated, directed, and strong eye for small details that make a difference.

· Must be able to learn, understand and apply new technologies

· Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities

· Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to effectively communicate solutions

 

DESIRED:

· Experience with modern hacking and exploitation techniques

· Presentation skills

· Experience in supporting the US Federal government

· Existing US Government clearance

 

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 7 or more hands-on network penetration testing experience

 

EDUCATION: BS/BA degree in IT, engineering or related field (additional years of experience may be substituted).

 

LOCATION: Remote; however, occasionally, you may need to be onsite for few days for team collaboration.

 

CLEARANCE: U.S. Citizenship is required and ability to attain a Level 6: Public Trust.
