Associate Brand Marketing Manager

We are looking for a creative, strategic, brand-minded  ‘Nerd,’ to help us grow consumer awareness of and preference for NerdWallet.  Reporting to the Brand Manager, and in collaboration with the media strategist, you will build smart, compelling, consumer and partner marketing campaigns, that build awareness of and preference for NerdWallet, help consumers easily make smart money moves, and in turn advance key brand health and business metrics.

Where you can make an impact:
  • Manage the creative strategy and development of partner marketing and integrated campaigns, with repeatable, strategic framework and processes that drive desirable business outcomes
  • Translate campaign strategy into inspiring and actionable campaign briefs for the internal creative team and own the outcome of the brief - working closely with the creative team to ensure the work delivers against the strategy/objectives, makes NerdWallet unforgettable in market
  • Develop strong working relationships with vertical business GM’s, deeply understand their business priorities, products, and services, so that you can effectively build brand campaigns that support their objectives
  • Identify opportunities to keep our strategy competitive and compelling as consumer and category dynamics change
  • Work with our head of consumer research on the quarterly analysis of brand health and deepening our consumer insights to drive more effective brand strategy
  • Champion our brand internally and externally with agency partners, proactively seeking compelling ways to help others action our brand promise
You are:

  • Consumer-obsessed: never stopping to learn how we can more meaningfully impact consumer perception and behavior
  • Results-driven: with a passion for using data to build marketing campaigns that solve business problems and advance our brand narrative
  • Action-oriented: thrive in environments where you are managing multiple projects at any given time. Comfortable operating in ambiguity, building from scratch, demonstrating ownership over projects
Your experience:
  • 4 - 6 years working on end-to-end brand marketing campaigns preferably at a creative advertising/marketing agency and/or in-house at a tech, consumer finance or innovative, fast-paced CPG, retail brand
  • Demonstrated success working cross-functionally to build internal relationships that translate into meaningful outputs/ability to influence and drive to consensus
  • Sustained track record and commitment to developing creative marketing programs that achieve brand objectives, are executed seamlessly and deliver measurable results
  • A consistent track record of developing and maintaining highly collaborative cross-functional internal and external relationships - working with designers, product managers, legal, finance, etc. to drive outcomes
