Job Description

Be a dependable IT team resource focused on day-to-day end-user support across our worldwide Nekoosa IT infrastructure. The initiatives and duties of this role requires a strong degree of technical and communication skills as well as the ability to learn new systems and build a strong understanding of our business processes.

IT Support and Administration

  • Act as an initial point of contact for all computer and system related concerns.
  • Prioritize and troubleshoot assigned IT helpdesk requests received via phone, email, etc.
  • Configure and deploy equipment as required. This includes laptops, desktops, telephones, tablets, printers and other Manufacturing related IT equipment.
  • Perform user account setup and administration on all applicable system platforms included AD and O365.
  • Follow best practices while administrating File and Print Servers.
  • Basic understanding and troubleshooting of local and wide area networks. (LAN, WAN)
  • Monitor IT security risks as assigned and escalate concerns as applicable.
  • Work with venders to troubleshoot and resolve miscellaneous systems and software issues.
  • Maintain an understanding of the Business System environment to provide troubleshooting support.
  • Create and uphold documentation pertaining to software installation and configuration.
  • Maintain on-site presence at Nekoosa plant and be available for travel to local and remote sites.
  • Become a member of the IT department’s after-hours on-call rotation and provide emergency after-hours support when needed.
  • Provide support with IT System and Infrastructure projects as applicable.

Competencies / Attributes:

  • 4-6+ years of helpdesk/desktop support or applicable IT experience.
  • Active Directory, O365 and File Server Administration experience required.
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines and to take initiative in applicable IT projects
  • Strong communication skills and customer service mindset to ensure internal users are provided a high level of support.
  • Ability to uphold our corporate values of being respectful, accountable, and different.
  • ERP experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desired but not mandatory.
  • Ability to support user at remote sites and locations.'
