Role Overview:

At Nayya, we have many strategic partnerships that have a huge impact on our revenue, technology, engagement, and reach. Enter the Integrations team. Engineers on this team build and maintain the APIs and processes that allow us to integrate data and manage state across a wide range of technologies and systems.

We've got a ton of interesting problems to solve around scaling APIs, linking messy heterogeneous data sets, spec-driven development, asynchronous communication, versioning, benefits data standardization, data analytics and predictions, system reliability, security, privacy, and more.

We are looking for a Senior Engineer II to join our Integrations team as an expert with the experience and technical expertise to design great solutions, mentor and enable more junior team members, and partner with other senior members of the team on key architectural and design related decisions. As a Senior Engineer II, you will guide others through your influence and will help shape how we build our integrations and, more broadly, all of our products here at Nayya.

Responsibilities:

* Learn and understand the architecture of the entire system

* Use technical expertise to collaborate with other senior engineers on advanced matters such as system architecture or cross-functional design work

* Helps set technical direction and guide the design of project based work

* Design and build new features for our core products, with expertise in our code base

* Collaborate closely with product on scoping technical needs

* Highly attuned at building with quality and scale at the forefront - focused on building high-performance products

* Maintain and monitor application infrastructure and quality

* Improve existing applications' functionality, speed, and reliability

* Work with other Nayya employees to find new product opportunities

* Be a part of the decision-making process as it relates to scaling the company and our products

* Help propose and influence new technologies

What You'll Bring:

* 8+ years of professional software development experience

* Experience designing new solutions to previously unsolved technical problems

* Experienced technical problem solver

* Experience with modern, object-oriented languages and frameworks

* Experience with Javascript and modern front-end frameworks (React, Redux, etc.)

* Experience building and supporting production quality software

* Experience with AWS, relational databases, REST APIs, MVC Architecture, and OOP principles

* +1 for Ruby on Rails and/or Python experience

* +1 for product design experience and an eye for good UX

* +1 for experience mentoring or serving as a tech lead in prior engineering roles

The salary range for New York based candidates for this role is $145,000-$185,000. We use a location factor to adjust this range for candidates that are located outside of geographic region of our New York office. Placement within the salary band is determined based on experience.
