The Marketing & Development Assistant reports to the Director of Business Development and is responsible for all day-to-day development activities while supporting other members of the department in achieving overall department goals.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Donor Database
- Donor acknowledgements
- Donation processing
- Reporting
- Donor Cultivation/Stewardship
- Annual/monthly giving
- Sails of remembrance
- Assists with:
- Major gifts
- Estate & planned giving
- Grants
- Department Support
- Branding
- Printed materials
- Digital marketing
- Direct mail
- Promotional items
- Events
- Community Outreach
- Schedule and participate in outreach programs with community and civic groups
- Speaking engagements
- Expos and fairs
- Events
- Performs other related duties as assigned and required.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Knowledge of marketing-related business practices, including advertising, market research, technology, and budgeting.
- Effective communication skills and adaptable communication style for interacting with team members and upper management.
- Time management and organization skills in order to plan and execute both large and small marketing projects and initiatives.
- Able to represent Navian Hawaii professionally and conduct business in an ethical and confidential manner.
- Ability to work harmoniously with a broad range of staff, volunteers, and the community as a representative of Navian Hawaii.
- Demonstrates good judgment in seeking and accepting guidance, facilitates clear and honest communication with other team members.
- Demonstrates ethical conduct and judgment that is in harmony with the mission and values of Navian Hawaii
- Demonstrated commitment to quality and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated professional skill levels in written and oral communications.
Experience/Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Marketing, Communications, Healthcare Administration or other related field
- Minimum two years' experience
