Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the President & CEO, the Director of Marketing & Development is responsible for providing leadership to staff and volunteers in the planning, implementation and evaluation of marketing and development activities required to achieve the business and campaign goals of Navian Hawaii. The Director promotes an integrated customer service campaign throughout the agency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Shares in the overall planning and management of Navian Hawaii with special emphasis on customer service and development.
  • Responsible for planning, implementation and evaluation of overall marketing and development strategy, campaigns and related materials with the Marketing and Development Committee and any relative sub-committees.
  • Responsible for planning, implementation and evaluation of health care professionals marketing strategy and overall customer service activities, promoting an increase in the number of referrals and overall census.
  • Strategizes with the Management Team and appropriate program staff for achieving programmatic financial goals.
  • Supervises the Marketing and Development Team.
  • Continually seeks to improve and maintain development, marketing and management skills and knowledge.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field and two or more years experience in marketing, development or general business operations. Preferred experience in non-profits or health care industry.
  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of management, leadership, human relations, quality outcomes, customer service and the ability to practice these skills to achieve the objectives of Navian Hawaii.
  • Able to represent Navian Hawaii professionally and conduct business in an ethical and confidential manner.
  • Demonstrated skills in written and oral communications, consultation, training and supervision.
  • Ability to develop long and short range goals and follow through with implementation.
  • Ability to work harmoniously with a broad range of clientele, staff, volunteers and the community as a representative of Navian Hawaii.
  • Demonstrates ethical conduct and judgment that is in harmony with the mission and values of Navian Hawaii.

Employment Requirements:

All offers of employment at Navian Hawaii are contingent on a candidate's successful completion of certain requirements which include:

  • A legally compliant background check
  • Drug Screen & Physical Exam
  • Navian Hawaii has also adopted a policy requiring all associates to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, subject to limited exemptions based on medical conditions or sincerely held religious beliefs.
  • Providing copies of valid Vehicle information such as auto insurance, inspection and registration

Hours:

  • Generally, Mondays through Fridays, 8:00 am through 4:30 pm. However, position may require after hours work to provide for training requirements.
  • Included in Manager on-call weekend rotation.
