### Summary

You will serve as a MOTOR VEHICLE DISPATCHER in the LOGISTICS
READINESS DEPARTMENT of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR PEARL HARBOR.

### Responsibilities

- You will schedule and dispatch passenger, cargo, and U-drive
vehicles.
- You will receive customer requests verbally or in writing,
checks validity of request, and select driver(s) to accomplish
the mission.
- You will use automated systems to enter and track data regarding
vehicle and licensing operations and supply requirements.
- You will act as the communication focal point for the section,
relaying and disseminating instructions for all activities.
- You will maintain control over portable radios, cellular phones,
and pagers issued to drivers

### Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized
experience providing motor vehicle transportation support to ensure
the effect transport of assets equivalent to the next lower grade
level (GS-04) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the
private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate
the following: I apply a standardized knowledge of transportation
regulations, operations, state laws, policies and procedures related
to the fleet management function to perform motor vehicle dispatcher
work. Specialize experience includes: dispatching or scheduling
motor vehicles, passenger, cargo, and Materials Handling Equipment
(MHE) used for the transportation of passengers, mail and equipment;
operating various types of vehicles (ex. pick-up trucks, sedans,
vans); ensuring the timely completion of tasks by taking into
account time and distance; utilizing radios and telephone
communication to respond to requests from support services (ex. Fire
department, Control tower, Dispatch Operations etc.); ensuring
vehicle is cleaned, serviced, and inspected for damage after use;
and utilizing a knowledge of administration techniques such as data
entry and record keeping.Examples of specialized experience may
include:1) Maintain a close liaison with operation centers, Command
Post, and Base Operations for flight schedules, special arrivals,
and schedule changes; 2) Utilize an automated system to enter data
regarding vehicle and supply requirements; 3) Perform as
communication focal point relaying information and maintain control
of vehicle and communication equipment; 4) Maintain status of work
in progress and determines whether to re-route vehicles to
accommodate other requirements.

### Additional information

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority
Placement Program.

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights,
weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or
night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 10.64% will be added to the
stated salary. COLA is subject to change at any time.
