You will serve as a SUPERVISORY TRANSPORTATION SPECIALIST in the
PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL FAC ENGINEERING CMD WASH.

experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in
the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or
public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the
following: 1) Supervising individuals who perform transportation
work in support of the organization's fleet management program; 2)
Interprets policies from higher authority to determine extent of
impact and any changes that may be required; 3) Managing a
comprehensive transportation program that includes operations,
maintenance, management, and administration for a variety of
transportation and specialized equipment; and 4) Overseeing the
annual budget for the operation and maintenance of transportation
and specialized equipment.

This position is eligible for part time, full time or ad-hoc

Physical Demands: Work is sedentary, being performed for the most
part while seated at a desk or conference table. There is some
physical exertion required when inspecting equipment, performing
first article testing, or visiting field activities.
Work Environment: Work is performed primarily in an office setting,
which is properly heated, lighted, ventilated, and devoid of unusual
risks or discomforts. The incumbent may encounter adverse weather
conditions and occasionally be required to wear clothing and safety
gear when inspecting equipment, performing first article testing, or
visiting field activities.
Due to sensitive mission of the installation assigned and possessing
critical transportation assets the incumbent may be called after
core/scheduled hours to address situation that demand transportation
guidance or involvement.
