NationalLink is seeking a highly motivated IT Support Technician to play a key role in providing support for IT, including workstations, basic network and telephone systems, remote users, etc... This position will effectively interface with staff and to understand and diagnose issues; and follow best practices to isolate and effectively resolve them. This individual will work to solve problems creatively and timely. This position reports directly to the Director of IT and has a great growth potential.
Coordinate installs, assembles, and configures computers, monitors, network infrastructure and peripherals such as printers, scanners, and related hardware.
Troubleshoot problems with computer systems and local file servers, including troubleshooting hardware and software, e-mail, network, and peripheral equipment problems; makes repairs and corrections where required.
Manage ticketing and email queue and allocate requests accordingly
Provide immediate, high urgency support to all end users at our office, which will require mobility to handle walk-ups and emergencies in the building
Coordinate installs, configures, and upgrades operating systems and software, using standard business and administrative packages; may modify specific applications for use in operational departments
Acts as a technical resource in assisting users to resolve problems with equipment and data.
Assist in instructing staff in the use of standard business and administrative software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and database management; provides instruction or written documentation where required
Assist with the research of new or upgraded hardware and software systems; maintains current knowledge of hardware, software and network technology and recommends modifications as necessary
Ensure prompt resolution of equipment issues through efficient troubleshooting, thorough product knowledge, and proper escalation and communication
Assist with in office network setup and configuration including routers, switches, analog modems, and wireless access control devices
Responsible for ensuring compliance with all IT policies and procedures regarding documentation, labeling, asset tracking and quality assurance
Complete IT projects individual and provide executive level support
Working knowledge of Windows experience is a must.
Excellent interpersonal relations skills showing extensive experience supporting executive-level customers
Experience with Parallels, Windows 10 O365 and MS Office applications is required
Experience with various mobile technologies in a corporate environment
Strong knowledge in hardware and components such as monitors, keyboards, printers and disk drives
Comp TIA A+ preferred
Ability to work independently, make good use of time and prioritize multiple tasks
Monday to Friday
Be available evenings and weekends for emergency situations
