The Role National Instruments is seeking a Systems Analyst to join the Enterprise Information Management group. This team is in charge of providing information to key stakeholders, which makes this position a strategic role to the success of the company. The Systems Analyst is responsible for assessing needs and working with partnering teams in the development of solutions enabling data-driven decision making for various organizations within National Instruments.

Key Responsibilities Gather, document, and communicate requirements effectively to ensure appropriate implementation of business intelligence and reporting solutions Develop effective problem statements and are outcome driven Perform as-is and to-be analysis Negotiate project scope, schedule, and resource requirements Compose effective cross-team and inter-departmental communications Prepare test cases and perform functional, acceptance, and regression testing Anticipate and mitigate project risk, document decisions, manage change Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team Propose innovative operational changes including people, processes, and systems Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project Assist with management, prioritization, troubleshooting and escalation of issues Analyze, understand, and document the flow of information between applications, databases, and third party (client/vendor) systems for data and reporting Perform data profiling exercises for new and existing data areas Design conceptual and/or logical data models Develop SQL queries, reports, and dashboards as needed Key Performance Objectives Self-Starter, high level of ownership, proactive nature, problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and collaborate with minimal direction Strong technical skills, comfortable working with technical team and business area Keen eye for detail, precision Strong interpersonal skills to interact with team members and internal customers Solution driven - strong analytical skills to identify, analyze and solve problems Strong personal organizational and project planning skills Ability to prioritize, multitask and quickly switch contextBasic Qualifications Bachelor's degree Demonstrated experience with SQL in a large database environment Direct experience utilizing SQL to develop queries or profile data Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis of data Experienced level skills in Systems Analysis Preferred Qualifications BS in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field strongly preferred Experience with Agile Frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) a plus Conceptual & logical data modeling and data profiling experience is strongly preferred Familiarity with dimensional data modeling concepts such as star schemas Experience with Big Data and cloud ecosystems (eg.
AWS) a plus Experience with Tableau or OBIEE a plus Experience with JIRA a plus
