Lab Team Lead – PM The Lab Team Lead position is the first step on the ladder of the Salt Lake City Lab Management Team. The Team Lead is responsible for monitoring the daily functions of a team of associates within the department. A strong work ethic, the ability to work independently and to follow directives from Supervisor and Manager is essential.

What would you do? – The Specifics

In addition to Lab Tech responsibilities, the Team Lead is tasked with managing the workload distribution for the department by performing task including but not limited to, the following:

• Monitoring Team performance, strengths and weaknesses and providing feedback to Supervisor.
• Monitoring of job quality levels; analysis and processing of rejected jobs and breakage issues.
• Ensuring correct flow of work is processed in a timely manner and old jobs are kept to a minimum.
• Track Associate production figures and provides information to Supervisor for daily reporting.
• Assists in training of new and current Associates.
• Communicates with other Team Leads to resolve department issues.

    SURFACE DEPT. Taping, blocking, generating, laser engraving, polishing, coating lenses,  inspecting.

1. Requires continuous walking, standing and moving about or continuous sitting depending on the production station.
2. Continuous movement and twisting of wrist.
3. Occasionally lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions objects weighting  0-10 lbs.
4. Frequent bending and twisting of waist and neck.
5. Frequent repetitive use of hands is required, which includes grasping and fine manipulation.
6. Protective eyewear and gloves must be worn in all manufacturing and stockroom areas.
