Join us as we continue to power the industry that powers the world. The NOV Aftermarket Group is currently recruiting for a Buyer to join our team in New Iberia, Louisiana. JOB SUMMARY Identify and select suppliers, complete requests for quotes, issue and expedite orders, coordinate arbitrate contracts, close out purchase orders and provide information and knowledge to co-workers and supervisors. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Identify and select primary and secondary suppliers. Complete requests for quotes and negotiate procurement contracts. Issue purchase orders and expedite orders. Coordinate contract agreements between suppliers and NOV. Verify the purchase orders and keep PO status up to date. Perform other work-related tasks as assigned. Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures. FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Monitor daily stock on hand and obsolete reports.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Microsoft Office knowledge required. General knowledge of inventory processes required. Minimum of 1 year experience in purchasing required. JOB REQUIREMENTS Overtime may be required. Ability to multi-task with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
