Position Purpose:

The Executive Assistant provides oversight and coordination to the President’s Office. The EA builds and maintains professional, efficient, and knowledgeable interactions with all members of the organization and external stakeholders.  Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and Senior Advisor to the President and CEO, the Executive Assistant works collaboratively with NICB leadership and other industry leadership stakeholders in various capacities.

This position is currently hybrid and requires on-site presence as needed to support the President’s Office. 


  • Provides specialized support to the President and CEO, and Senior Advisor on a wide range of project-based functions across the organization, as well as with internal and external stakeholders to schedule and coordinate meetings, events, and travel, prepare meeting materials, and coordinate logistics and event support.
  • Manages the President and CEO’s calendar and utilizes independent judgement and discretion when scheduling meetings and prioritizing requests.
  • Performs complex executive administrative duties including the handling of issues of a sensitive and confidential nature.
  • Provides context and background information on issues, and conducts research and gathers materials for projects, correspondence, and initiatives.
  • Assists with and facilitates prompt communication with other members of leadership in response to emergent or sensitive issues
  • Participates in meetings to ensure appropriate and responsive follow-up and accountability and facilitates resolution of matters requiring attention of the President’s Office.  Serves as a note-taker and distributes meeting notes as necessary. 
  • Coordinates the daily operations of the President’s Office, which includes maintaining the physical office space, ordering supplies or materials, and serving as the point of contact for guests.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Position Requirements/Abilities:

  • Polished verbal and written communication skills 
  • Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to demonstrate a calm, courteous and professional demeanor
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a variety of situations and with a diverse group of people
  • Strong sense of urgency and initiative and a demonstrated ability to make sound decisions without direction
  • Adaptability 

Education, Work Experience, Licensure: 

  • Three (3) years’ experience working in a fast-paced office environment, preferably supporting C-Suite executives 
  • Bachelor's degree preferred 
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
