Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking outgoing, efficient, and motivated individuals to join our growing team of Customer Service professionals. Success in this role comes by ensuring delivery of excellent Customer Service through accurate and fast processing of client inquiries and complaints. You will respond to clients' inquiries via email or telephone, resolving any issues related to their health care policies.

This is a great role for individuals with the following experience:

  • Recent high school / college graduates
  • Health Insurance Customer Service
  • Claims Resolution
  • Call Center (high inbound/outbound call volume)

Essential Functions

  • Using the Health Marketplace Plans to assist clients with their coverage of health policies
  • Obtain and examine all relevant information to assess validity of complaints and to determine possible remedy
  • Analyzes transactions, corrects records, and adjusts errors in several databases
  • Handles high volume of email and phone calls per day
  • Reports serious complaints to manager for guidance and assistance
  • Create and work client cases in computer systems (cases arise from nonpayment or declined/expired payment methods)
  • Assist in maintaining clients' health policies with carrier by way of collection of premiums and changes to clients' policies
  • Help reduce cancellations of health policies by explaining policies, what the policy can provide for the client, and suggestion of alternative plans to help fit customers budget
  • Working closely with Customer Service Manager, advising the Customer Service team on any changes that may arise in the department
  • Continuously train with self and team leaders for growth and development
  • Other duties as requested

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Customer Service experience; healthcare insurance knowledge a plus
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Quick Base experience a plus
  • Must work well independently and in a team environment
  • Willingness to learn Healthcare industry and implement knowledge on a daily occurrence

Compensation & Benefits

  • $13 - $15 per hour (pay is commensurate with education/experience)
