RN/LPN Specifics

RN/LPN Description of Work

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADL)
• Obtain and record vital signs and weights per policy
• Answer patient calls
• Apply simple clean dressings, slings, stockings, and support bandages under the direction of a nurse
• Administer prescription medications and/or start IV if needed
• Give injections
• Monitor catheters
• Clean patients' equipment and general living area, as assigned
• Dress wounds
• Assist with medical procedures
• Clean rooms and bed linens
• Interact with residents for social stimulation and emotional support
• Document patient health issues and report to Physicians

RN/LPN Requirements

• Minimum 1-year nursing experience, preferably in a nursing home, clinical, or psychiatric setting
• Active/Clear nurse licensure valid in the state of Missouri
• Active/Clear BLS (American Heart Association)
• Direct care experience within the previous year in the US
• Successful completion of screening/application requirements (e.g., competency testing, drug screen, background check)
