The Customer Service Representative/Marketing Assistant provides administrative and customer service support to the NCC Marketing team. This role provides customer service to independent insurance agencies and their agents across the country, handling follow-through to ensure that agents have what they need. This role also answers incoming calls, provides a high level of customer service, and distributes supplies and marketing materials.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • communicate effectively by phone and enjoy communicating by phone
  • follow up by email promptly, clearly, and professionally, with proper grammar and spelling
  • accurately document client communications and information in internal databases
  • learn large amounts of information, assimilate that information, and present that information accurately to clients
  • effectively navigate a Customer Relations Management (CRM) system and related data sources
  • work quickly and knowledgeably with Microsoft Office products, including Excel; proficiency with Adobe Acrobat is a plus
  • effectively organize and prioritize, meeting all deadlines and delivering results
  • Able to sit for long periods of time, able to enter information by keyboard at a reasonable rate of speed, able to hear well over the phone, and able to see and read information on a computer screen and on printed documents


  • provide personalized service to clients and solving problems that may arise
  • Following through to help clients navigate the contracting process, looking for incomplete submissions and errors early in the process, working closely with the Contracting Specialist to ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Facilitating distribution of supplies and marketing materials to agents once contracts are in place, confirming that supplies have been received, and ensuring that agents have what they need to sell policies
  • answering inbound calls, forwarding calls to the appropriate person, and/or answering questions when appropriate
  • enter/update client information into CRM

Basic Job Requirements

  • HS diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
  • computer and internet proficiency, especially proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • an aptitude for learning
  • an attitude of persistence and a “can-do” attitude
  • a good phone voice combined with the ability to speak clearly and communicate well by phone for several hours per day
  • proficient communication in English (verbal and written); excellent grammar and spelling;
  • experience working with a CRM (Customer Relations Management system)
  • basic knowledge of Medicare and other Senior insurance products


Hourly plus bonus.
