Programmer Analyst - BI - #6870

• A qualified Programmer Analyst performing work, would preferably hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or the equivalent, based on a combination of education and demonstrated related experience. • Bachelors with minimum of 5 years IT Experience or Masters with 2 years IT Experience • Experience in in relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata etc • Experience in writing and performance tuning of SQL queries • Experience in Data Analytics, Data Warehousing, or Data Science is required • Experience/knowledge administrating BI Platforms like Cognos BI, Business Objects, Tableau, Power BI Hadoop, etc. is required • Strong problem solving skills, and attention to details with the ability to work both independently, as part of team. • Strong interpersonal communication and written skills is required • Experience programming using Python, R etc. is preferred • Proficiency in Shell scripting in Unix/Linux is preferred. • Proficiency with Big Data and Machine Learning is a plus

Under general supervision, this fully competent role works on fairly complex programs and performs systems design work. Codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains those programs. Works company wide in a specific platform environment on a specific project assignment. Provides occasional functional guidance to less experienced Programmer Analysts. Errors may cause minor delay, expense and disruption. • Plan, and manage Analytic platform implementations and upgrades, licensing, security, auditing, and future/additional product evaluations as needed. • Provide resolutions to production job failures and/or data issues. • Perform load monitoring and performance tuning in a production environment. • Provide technical support to business users and interface with the vendor technical support. • Coordinate with analysts and developers to ensure jobs designed and developed meet minimum support standards and best practices before migration into the production environment. • Partner with various infrastructure teams, application teams, and architects to generate process designs and complex transformations to various data elements to provide the Business with insights into their business processes. • Develop and maintain BI solutions supporting critical business processes across the various Business Units. • Develop and perform tests and validate data flows and prepare ETL processes to meet complex business requirements, including designing and implementing of complex end-to-end solutions using BI platforms. • Define and capture metadata and rules associated with ETL processes. • Configure and utilize various complicated methodologies including Aggregates and OLAP Cache. • Index and partition to fine tune the big data and data warehouse to improve the query response and its scalability. • Document standards and procedures for various Analytic platforms. • Work during non-business hours as required
