Location and Schedule
This is a remote position. Normal operating hours are M-F, 8:30AM-4:30PM (CST). NCFH, Inc. is largely a remote working environment apart from specific positions that require a hybrid schedule and commute to our home office.

We provide information services, training and technical assistance, and a variety of products to community and migrant health centers nationwide, as well as organizations, universities, researchers, and individuals involved in farmworker health.

Summary
This position is responsible for providing professional and technical support for communications and product development related services to include social media and marketing of NCFHs program services.
Qualifications, Education and Licensing/Certification
Required:
- Knowledge and skills in digital communications, at the educational/experiential equivalent of a bachelors degree program in communications, marketing, social media, or a related field.
- Practical work experience of a minimum of two years, preferably in public health or nonprofit education/communication; competence working with culturally diverse audience and clients, preferably in developing communications for low-literacy and culturally diverse populations, such as agricultural workers or other underserved populations.
- A high level of written and oral communication and interpersonal skills; and strong computer and online literacy skills.
- Experience utilizing social media platforms (such as Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp), planning content for social media, and email marketing.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Preferred:
- Experience using Hootsuite, Canva, and Mailchimp.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Social Media and Content Creation
- Utilizes organizational social media platforms (such as including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube) as engagement and awareness building/mobilization tools to increase constituent and public awareness and visibility of NCFH program services and products.
- Gathers, writes, edits, and publishes content for social media posts/campaigns to promote NCFH, its programs, and products.
- Creates and edits graphics for social media posts.
- Supports the development and maintenance of the NCFH FB Community Group.
- Gathers and publishes content for the FB Community Group.
- Implements dissemination strategies to increase reach and membership of the FB groups audience.
- Supports content creation for Communications Ambassadors project pilot.
- Serves as Social Media Chair and oversees implementation of social media procedure.
- Gathers, writes, edits, and publishes content for social media posts/campaigns to promote NCFH, its programs, and products.
- Plans and develops content for website blog posts to ensure consistency of messaging across all mediums.
- Compiles monthly social media analytics to inform and evaluate effectiveness of social media engagement strategies.
- Utilizes organizational social media platforms (such as including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube) as engagement and awareness building/mobilization tools to increase constituent and public awareness and visibility of NCFH program services and products.
- Email Marketing and Dissemination
- Responsible for NCFHs monthly organizational newsletters.
- Gathers content, designs, publishes, and evaluates distribution of the NCFH digest and Boletin De Sol a Sol newsletters.
- Compiles monthly newsletter analytics to inform and evaluate effectiveness of newsletter distribution.
- Maintains distribution lists and contacts in Mailchimp.
- Works with the Product Development and Promotions Coordinator to monitor information dissemination and communication activities, to inform and develop programmatic goals, and to evaluate effectiveness of dissemination and marketing strategies.
- Responsible for NCFHs monthly organizational newsletters.

- Supports the Communications Team to maintain an internal media repository that organizes, archives, and maintains digital and print assets.
- Assists in providing feedback on and maintaining NCFH Brand Book.
- Provides T/TA Services in areas of expertise via webinar, conference workshops, phone consultation or on-site, as needed.
- Participates in regular departmental and cross departmental progress meetings.
- Proofreads materials as required.
Nature and Method of Work
Work is professional level, requiring application of professional theory and practice. Duties are generally performed independently, with priorities and work plans developed by the employee's manager and monitored periodically. Communication with individuals and various organizations is extensive. The employee's work involves support to programs which can promote the visibility and goodwill of the organization, and other work involves the potential for improvements to the organization's practices.
Physical Ability and Work Environment
The employee is regularly required to perform work duties at an onsite office/designated home workspace with communication through virtual platforms (Asana and Microsoft Teams) for extended periods of time. The employee must have the ability to use a computer and other office tools with sufficient speed and accuracy. The noise level is usually low to moderate.
Leadership and Supervision
Employee receives direct supervision from the Manager of Communications. Employee does not provide direction to other staff.
Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years of age.
