Position Overview:

The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating designs solutions from packaging to marketing materials that better communicates to our customers. The main focus is on the print side so the candidate should be experienced in print and production. The Graphic Designer will work together with various departments in order to produce work for a variety or products, activities, advertising, cookbook, magazines, posters, packaging, exhibitions shows, banners, and corporate communications and identity.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet with other departments to determine the scope of a project
  • Determine the message the design should portray
  • Create images that identify a product or convey a message
  • Assist in developing concepts for a wide-range of projects, including ads, direct mail campaigns, menus, concert posters, e-mail campaigns, social media postings, web banners and package design.
  • Create new design and photo concepts, maintaining a unified look across print and web pieces.
  • Collaborate with the Photography team to develop new image concepts.
  • Develop graphics for product illustrations, logos, and at times websites
  • Present the design to other departments and the art director
  • Incorporate changes recommended by the other departments into the final design
  • Review designs for errors before printing or publishing them
  • Contributing innovative and creative ideas with the design team
  • Self-motivated and an outside the box thinker
  • Package design, catalog, banner design experience
  • Able to multi-task various projects under tight datelines
  • Photo retouching and editing
  • A strong visual, typography, color sense and awareness of design trends

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or equivalent
  • 7+  years of professional experience, preferably in packaging and branding
  • A portfolio that demonstrates creative design and conceptual thinking (candidates must submit portfolios)
  • A strong visual, typography, color sense and awareness of design trends
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask and meet deadlines
  • Expertise in graphic software Adobe CC
  • Photography experience is a plus
  • Take-charge attitude
  • Takes criticism
