Compiles and maintains accounts payable records by performing the following duties.

Matches, codes & processes invoices & maintains all accounts payable files.
Prepares and mails checks.
Analyzes and answers all vendor accounts inquiries.
Responsible for self-assessing & paying sales tax and filing sales tax returns.
Assist in monthly closing.
Assist with accounts receivable & special projects.
Assist with audit requests.

Education and/or Experience
Associate degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences and memos; Ability to write simple correspondence; Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to vendors and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
Reasoning Ability Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form; Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
