Lead Technician - DAS

Lead Technician/Foreman Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS)

This position is for the onsite lead for the installation of large, complex, Distributed Antenna Systems.

These DAS systems are typically located in hotels, large commercial buildings, and hospitals throughout the United States.

This position reports to a Project Manager.

The candidate must be able to understand DAS design drawings, and the scope of work, and execute them based on direction and guidance from the Project Manager and/or the Construction Manager.

This position is a 100% travel position.

Minimum Requirements:

• The candidate should possess the following:
• Strong customer service/communication skills
• Leading an onsite team of up to 6 technicians
• Ability to manage strict quality standards
• Ability to communicate effectively up and down the chain of command.
• Working knowledge of DAS equipment including active and passive DAS, repeaters, antennas, splitters, etc.
• Identify, inventory, and track project materials and tools required
• Competent at pulling fiber and coaxial cabling
• Expertise in coaxial cable terminations
• Broad knowledge and experience with fusion splicing
• Ability to read, interpret and adhere to project construction drawings
• Provide redlines for drawing updates post installation
• Expertise in PIM, sweep testing, OTDR, and light loss testing
• Possess a general level of building code knowledge to integrate into commercial spaces
• Solid Microsoft Office skills
• Think analytically to troubleshoot and solve complex problems
• Fundamental knowledge of basic construction
• Have the ability to work indoors and outdoors
• Lift 100lbs
• Headend installation experience (ISP) is a plus
• Professional appearance
• Small cell and cellular experience a plus
• Understanding of RF technology
