This position is responsible for administering Union benefit data processing functions for all Union personnel. Directly responsible for accurate and timely maintenance of the Collective Bargaining Agreements(CBA) for benefits processing and reporting. Reviews Collective Bargaining Agreements for the set-up of benefits for all Local Unions. Benefits are Health & Welfare, Pension/401k, Training, and Education. Ensures all Union employees have the proper benefits based on their Local Union designation and the CBA. Reviews and corrects errors to ensure that employees/unions are whole to avoid penalties and union grievances. Prepares monthly funding reports for each local to report employee benefit amounts. Requests checks for funding from Accounts Payable and provides to Local Unions with funding reports prior to the deadlines each month to avoid penalties. Reviews and responds to monthly general ledger reconciliation spreadsheets prepared by Finance/Accounting to ensure balanced entries between what was withheld from the employee and what was paid to the locals. Assists with Local Audits as necessary. Performs other duties as assigned.
