We are pleased to announce that we have a permanent full-time opportunity available for an Inventory Clerk in our Montreal, Quebec location.

Position Summary:

The Inventory Clerk provides direct support to the Inventory Lead while ensuring efficient organization and execution of inventory processes while supporting and driving progress. The Inventory Clerk while collaborating closely with the Lead and Supervisors will support all functional areas of the organization to drive process improvement and innovation within NRI.

Shift Time:

3:30pm to 12am. Sunday to Thursday.

Job Duties:

  • Lost/Found Investigation - Using the Aspire Windows and RF applications to perform investigation processes to resolve inventory issues on the warehouse floor.
  • Adjustment Auditing - Performs audit on adjustments following the proper authorization matrix from the client.
  • Inventory reporting - Accurately tracks and enters required data into the client specific reports on their required time cycles.
  • Operate pallet-jacks and other material handling equipment in a safe manner and follow all safety procedures when working around machines.
  • Follow security protocol for the warehouse and facility.
  • Follow NRI Safety Rules, Safety Procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Keeps work and storage areas in a safe, clean, and tidy condition at all times.
  • Ensure skids are sorted, stacked and in good repair, removing any damaged skids.
  • This position is required to consult with and/or co-ordinate activities with other employees in the organization.
  • Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Identify information by categorizing, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes.
  • Ability to decipher strings of numbers and descriptions while matching it exactly to information given.
  • Problems or situations are different and require interpretation. Use judgment to identify the most appropriate solution from several options using prior knowledge and experience.
  • Decisions have a critical effect on the organization’s reputation, team members, client services, policies or operations. Physical ability to carry out the duties, including the ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs, walking and standing for extended periods, climbing ladders, and tolerating conditions such as dust, dirt, noise, odors, heat, cold, etc.
  • All other duties as assigned and needed by the company.

Things You Can Do:

  • Excellent Office 365 skills.
  • Knowledge of the Aspire system or comparable WMS experience.
  • Strong ability to multitask and problem solve.
  • Can communicate both internally and externally in an open, helpful and engaging manner.
  • Is KPI driven and goal focused.
  • Ability to work through Client requests and complaints in a manner that meets Client needs and follows NRI processes.
  • Ability to escalate obstacles when you are unable to come up with a solution.
  • Follows safe job procedures.

The Must Haves:

  • 1 – 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Lives in accordance to and can make decisions based on our company values.
  • Material Handling Equipment Certification a plus
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Knowledge of the Aspire system or comparable WMS experience.
  • Experience preferred in continuous improvements to drive customer fulfillment, quality, efficiency and safety.
