This position is responsible for providing day-to-day customer service support to employees regarding all facets of the group benefit programs (group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, worker's compensation, life insurance, travel and accident plan, flexible spending plan and health savings account plan) to include enrollment, communication, termination and reconciliation of benefits.Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required.Bachelor's degree or associate's degree preferred, not required.Minimum of two (2) year's in benefit or related-benefits administration and/or human resources administration. Examples of Duties: *Responds daily to employee benefit inquiries via telephone or email.Collects benefit elections and changes and provides pertinent information to Payroll on a semi-monthly basis.Communicates benefits to newly eligible employees on a monthly basis including providing detailed information, collecting dependent... eligibility documents, holding online webinars and ensuring employees enroll in benefits timely.Assists with the monthly reconciliation for all insurance bills to ensure accurate coverage for employees and accounting for premiums due to carriers.Handles all types of leave and all aspects of leave administration including, but not limited to, communication with the employee regarding paperwork and benefits, providing Payroll with leave updates as needed, accurately tracking leave utilized, working with manager to ensure proper timesheet entries and, repayment of benefits if necessary.Corresponds with employee to determine if there is a qualifying event, provides instructions as to making changes to benefits and collects appropriate eligibility documentation prior to make the appropriate adjustment to the benefits.Creates and/or updates benefit processes on an as needed basis.Updates employee benefits administrative system with terminations, rehires, new hires, etc.
on a regular basis.Generates reports on an as needed basis from benefits and payroll systems and provides.updates to other departments on a weekly basis.Filing employee benefits documentation.Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: *Experience in operating computers, filing, and maintaining electronic filing systems.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.Strong ability for attention to detail in all areas of responsibility, including data entry.Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and poise.Ability to work both within a team environment and independently to prioritize tasksAbility to maintain and meet demanding timelines.Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.Strong time management, organization, and multi-tasking skills while maintaining high levels of accuracy. Supervisory Responsibilities: *This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
