Job Description

If you’re the Order Processing Specialist we’re looking for, you’re a stickler for details, accuracy and efficiency. You love making customers happy and jump in whenever needed to ensure we live up to our promises to them. You thrive on being the heart of our busy office and your ability to smoothly liaison between the sales department and the warehouse seems almost effortless. Your excellent communication and customer service skills are key to your success. You are organized, thoughtful and have an amazing capacity to stay calm under pressure. You are comfortable working unsupervised but know the value of being a reliable team member is critical.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Customer Order Entry (data entry of customer purchase orders into our system)
  • Customer Service (sending order confirmations, corresponding with customers, maintaining customer relationships, etc.)
  • Open Sales Order reports
  • Coordinating daily deliveries, will calls, and shipments
  • Obtain both Ground and LTL rate quotes to arrange freight for outgoing orders
  • Manage backorders and communicate status with customers
  • Support sales team to ensure all orders are processed and shipped on time

Additional Skills:

  • Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) are required
  • Excellent data entry skills to quickly and accurately review and input data
  • Effective communication (both verbal and written) and organizational skills
  • Superior phone etiquette and ability to deal effectively with internal or external customers, peers and management
  • Shows initiative and is able to work independently
  • Reliability
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability and willingness to work 40 hours a week
  • 2 years of experience in a fast paced customer service role or order management role in a high volume environment is desired

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
