PRN - Registered Nurse

In search of a PRN RN to ensure a constant quality of patient care, and run a smooth operation of the Center.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and possess a valid Virginia Registered Nurse License
Clinical expertise in endoscopy nursing preferred

ER experience preferred
2 years of supervisory level experience, desired
Current ACLS, BLS certification
Ability to deal compassionately, professionally, and courteously with patients, their families, physicians, and staff.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word for Windows and Microsoft Excel, a must.

Determines that approved standards of patient care and nursing practices are utilized in all areas providing nursing care.
Oversees ongoing Quality Assessment & Performance Improvement activities.
Oversees day-to-day clinical operations, ensuring the safety and care of the patient.
Oversees the Environment of Care and Infection Control programs.
Acting as a liaison between the physician and the patient.
1. Individualizes care according to each patient's special needs.
2. Follows safety and infection control procedures.
3. Performs patient assessments and reviews medical records for consent, H&P and sees that all records are completed
4. Understands the use, placement and interpretation of all monitoring equipment.
5. Identifies an emergency situation and is able to effectively intervene.
6. Supervises the Nursing staff and Endoscopy Technicians on a daily basis.
7. Communicates relevant information to the physician and clinical staff to maintain continuity of care.
8. Implements and adheres to all policies.
9. Assesses, implements, and manages a staff development program for all nursing personnel.
10. Helps to compile QAPI data and shares responsibility for QAPI compliance for the Center.
11. Reports any issues, complaints, etc... from patients and staff to the Endoscopy Center Administrator
11. Ensures on-going compliance with accreditation readiness policies and functions as the Clinical Accreditation Coordinator in conjunction with the Medical Director and Endoscopy Center Administrator.
