Provide overall case management and direct group and individual counseling services to consumers while in detoxification program. Also assists in clinical operations, i.e., lectures, case consultation, clinical documentation audits, etcetera.
Bachelor degree in Human Services, Behavioral Healthcare, or other related field and four years’ experience or equivalent experience and clinical training.
Certified Alcoholism and Drug Counselor certification and three years’ experience in substance use program in counseling position. Case Management: carries a caseload and has overall responsibility for their treatment. Conducts individual assessments, psycho-social histories, establishing individualized treatment plans, provides group and individual counseling services, and establishes the consumer’s aftercare plans, including contact with referral resources. Reviews all consumers’ progress and treatment results with clinical director and peers.
Must demonstrate genuine empathy and concern for individuals as indicated in our corporate vision, mission, and values statements. Ability to read and write in order to perform agency required documentation. Knowledge and understanding of the Medical model, Recovery model and 12-Step model of treatment. Maintenance of a valid driver’s license and approval by NET’s automotive insurance carrier. Obtain and maintain CPR, and first aid certifications. Adhere to applicable city, county, state, and federal laws and regulations, NET's policies, and DSAMH licensure and CARF standards.
