BOARD CERTIFIED BEHAVIOR ANALYST (BCBA) - PACE

SUMMARY

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) provides mental health services utilizing the Evidence Based Practice, Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), to children/adolescents with serious mental health disturbances or skill deficits in the home, school, or community, in order to sustain placement in the natural environment. They will collaborate with other ABA, PACE and BHRS team members (i.e. TSS, MT, other clinical and administrative staff), as well as parents and teachers in the child’s community context. The BCBA must be credentialed as a Supervisor by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and will provide supervision and to BSC ASD, providing ABA as per the guidelines provided by the BCBA.

ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: (and other duties as assigned)

  • The BCBA will work in collaboration with other providers to develop and implement a behavioral modification plan utilizing strengths-based and empathetic methods
  • BCBA will implement empirically supported treatments for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
  • BCBA will be involved in providing ongoing feedback regarding the continued need for such services, as a least restrictive level of care.
  • Services are provided in schools, home and other community settings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Mental health clinician with a current BCBA credential is required
  • BACB Supervisor Credential
  • Experience and training working with children and families with autism
  • Master’s Degree from an accredited university in a clinical mental health discipline
  • Training in behavior analysis/modification (minimum of eight (8) hours prior to hire, eight (8) hours annually thereafter).
  • Preferred experience in Verbal Behavior Techniques, PRT and DTT
  • Preferred experience and training in Functional Behavioral Assessment
