Sales Representative

Department: Business Development

Reports to: Chief Business Development Officer

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

This is a contract position, with oversight provided by the Chief Business Development Officer and the Herbert J. Hoelter Vocational Training Center’s leadership team. We are looking for a Business Development Representative to act as the liaison between our external workforce development team and our internal workforce development team. Your role will be to seek new business development opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential employer and community partners.

To be successful in this role you should have previous experience developing and prospecting leads from marketing campaigns and meeting business development and or sales quotas. You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with clients from first contact until the partnership is solidified. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. General

Present our organization to potential clients and partners.

Identify client needs and communicate needs to the internal training teams.

Customize solutions to increase employer and client satisfaction.

Build long-term trusting relationships with employer partners and clients.

Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market

Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and Business Development Executives

Report to the Chief Business Development Officer on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) business development results

Meet with external workforce development and internal workforce development team to pre-plan and support weekly business development activities.

Stay up-to-date with new training services/ support services and associated cost.

Maintain a client relationship management database.

Assist in maintenance of effective web listings, web presences, and web-based referral resources.

Assist in representing the organization at community functions and professional organizations.

Provide business development, workforce development and program management with data which outlines new service opportunities and sales potentials

Recommend direction for marketing priorities concepts and materials

Participate in developing annual business development goals

Maintain written documentation relating to all business development activity.

Assist in building business development within assigned areas according to goals

Assist the business development team in promoting the Herbert J. Hoelter’s Vocational Training Center’s to target referral sources, employer and community partners.

Thoroughly knowledgeable on the Herbert J. Hoelter’s Vocational Training products and services, fees and client base.

Communicate information on employer partnership and workforce development strategy to internal and external customers.

Qualify leads from marketing and outreach campaigns as business development opportunities

Accompany job development team on business development meetings

Coordinate, schedule and participate in internal job fairs, community outreach, partnership luncheons.

B. Specific

Maintain constant contact email listing on behalf of the Herbert J. Hoelter Vocational Training Center.

Maintain referral tracking system for employer and community partners within NCIA’s HJH VTC

electronic management database system.

Maintain all outcomes and results related to business development goals within the electronic management database system.

Maintain Media Kit i.e. PowerPoints, brochures and all marketing materials.

Other duties as assigned by the Chief Business Development Officer and or their assigned point of contact.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

· Experience in content creation (blogs, press releases, web site content)

· Minimum of (2) years of experience in sales and marketing preferred.

· Must be creative; self-motivated, energetic; have a pleasant and helpful disposition positive, upbeat attitude, a good listener, empathetic, and able to relate well to clients, situations and needs.

· Able to adjust work schedule to meet needs and availability of prospective clients, referral resources and events.

· Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills, problem solving skills, and apply good judgment based on the principles and sound management.

· Proficiently read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job.

· Minimum of (2) years of experience working with workforce development teams and or establishing employer partnerships preferred.
