Course Developer - Writer NBI, a continuing education provider headquartered in the Eau Claire, WI area is an established leader in the development of professional continuing education seminars across the U.S. We have an opportunity on our Content Development team for candidates who: Are interested in researching laws and legal subject matter in order to build new continuing education courses for legal and business professionals. Have the ability to recognize topic trends from a wealth of information.

Have strong digital research and qualitative information-gathering capabilities. Enjoy writing and have exceptional writing skills. Job Responsibilities Course Developers - Writers have the following main functions: Researching Continuing Legal Education Needs of Customers, Faculty Feedback, Market Trends, Competitor Offerings Generating Ideas for New Content / Prototype Testing Developing New Prototype Course Agendas Writing Learning Objectives and Promotional Copy Identifying Customer Accreditation Needs and Faculty Requirements for Courses Analyzing Course Performance with Recommendations for Improvements Job Requirements Post-secondary education required.

Bachelor's degree in History, Journalism, English, Education, Communications, or related field preferred. Experience with digital research, analytical projects, writing projects. Strong verbal communication, business correspondence and promotional writing skills.

Enthusiasm for and skills in scouring the Internet through mounds of relevant and irrelevant information. Inventiveness, strong abstract thinking (to create, shape and evaluate ideas). Thrive in a collaborative team environment.

Collaborating with peers and supervisor on course development: diplomatically giving and accepting critiques of work during peer review sessions. Self-sufficiency and comfort with quiet solo work. Exceptional time management skills in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.
