Reports to: Founder & President
The Marketing & Events Manager is responsible for the masterful coordination of an array of marketing efforts to expose the Mythology Brand to our customers.
Marketing efforts include creating and managing specific campaigns that include social media, print and digital advertising, public relations, email and coordination of marketing collateral. Events efforts include coordination and participation in public and private events that expose Mythology as a brand and our spirits to existing and prospective customers.
Some travel and work on weeknights and weekends is required. This role actively manages the brand, both building it and ensuring that brand and company standards are met. Working collaboratively with all other departments and fostering interdepartmental teamwork is critical.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
§ Manage conception, development, and execution of a strategic marketing plan with clear deliverables, product concepts, and promotional programs to drive interest and sales. The Marketing plan that this position will manage includes:
o Public Relations and Media
o Print and Digital Advertising
o Content Creation
o Social Media
§ Develop a market research program, build customer databases and demographics, and implement additional communications programs with customers and fans
§ Manage an annual marketing and events budget
§ Proactively pursue new marketing approaches and lead the coordination of collaboration efforts with distillery and bar partnerships
§ Oversee community engagement with sponsorships
§ Oversee content creation for social media, graphic design, website and advertising (this includes managing vendors)
- Promotes and collaboratively plans spirit releases and other onsite events
- Seek out ways to measure and enhance brand relevance (Nielsen studies, surveys, market research, etc.)
- Create and manage an influencer campaign that includes athletes, outdoor recreationists and food and beverage influencers
§ Create events for the cocktail bar to drive customer engagement. Coordinate the marketing of the event
§ Identify events and sponsorships to participate in order to grow brand awareness and coordinate Mythology’s participation in the event
§ Create new events with partner restaurants, bars, liquor stores, etc that will showcase the Mythology brand and or spirits
§ Work with the leadership team to create a Standard Operating Procedure for events to ensure consistent messaging
§ Create ideas and coordinate marketing collateral provided at each event
§ Participate in events & manage staffing as needed
REQUIREMENTS AND EXPECTATIONS:
§ Highly organized with proficiency in various software including Excel spreadsheets, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, social media platforms.
§ Active personal engagement on social media platforms
§ A positive personality and demonstrated ability to offer creative solutions to challenges.
§ Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field required and/or previous experience
§ Physically capable of a variety of duties including but not limited to repeated lifting of 30 pounds or more and extended amounts of and talking.
§ Willingness to work on evenings and weekends is required
This is a full-time salaried position. Starting salary is commensurate with experience and benefits include paid time-off, paid holidays, staff training and future benefit plans.
