Job Description
Position: Network Administrator/Engineer

Location: Beachwood, OH (on site)

Duration: Full time role

Our client, a managed service provider, is seeking qualified candidates for a Network Administrator position. Candidates should exhibit a strong desire to help others with technology as this is a heavily customer service-based position.   • Minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience in similar technology support role
  • Prior experience working for an Managed Service Provided (MS)
  • Minimum 1 year of past employment experience in a customer service role
  • Experience creating/administering users in Active Directory and Office 365
  • Be committed to improving your technical and soft skills through company offered and self-guided study to further your career in IT
  • Strong technological aptitude, work ethic, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Reliable transportation
  • A authorized to work in the U.S
  • Willing to undergo a background check, in accordance with local law and regulations
Highly preferred:
  • MCP, MCTS, or higher certifications
  • Completed either an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Licenses or certifications in any of the following areas:
    • CompTia
    • Microsoft
    • Cisco
    • Watchguard
    • VoIP
  • Ever worked for a Managed Service Provider
  • Experience setting up, upgrading, or maintaining Windows Servers
  • Experience in setting up and modifying network switches
  • Experience in setting up and modifying enterprise level firewalls, WatchGuard, Sonicwall or Cisco
  • Experience with VPN, Office 365, VoIP phones, and setting up new computers
  • • Provide technical support to customers via phone/e-mail, on-site, and through our ticket system
  • • Respond to service requests in a timely manner (meeting or exceeding our contracted SLAs)
  • • Resolve issues with client network devices (PC, some Macs, smartphones, etc.)
  • • Act as the point of contact for our clients on all types of requests generated internally via our monitoring systems or externally direct from clients
  • • Coordinate additional resources needed to accomplish requested tasks including client vendors
  • • Escalate service requests which you cannot resolve to meet client expectations
  • Additional Responsibilities:
  • • Recommend improvements to our internal processes to maximize customer service levels
  • • Complete time sheets as work is completed with detailed notes
  • • Develop rapport with clients as a trusted resource for help
  • • Educate end-users on hardware and software operations as needed
