Job Description
Title:  Cloud Architect – Contract – Must be US Citizen
Location: 100% REMOTE
 
  • In addition to the below job details must have experience in CLOUD (AWS or Google or Azure)
  • Leadership within Project Management skills or Program Management skills are needed
  • This is part of the Cloud Security Team and will have a lot of contact/face time with executive leadership
  • Will work with domain specific Technical Architects

  • Manager is looking for a well rounded architect with most recently 2-3 years of experience as a Cloud Architect. 
 
 JOB SUMMARY
This job defines and promotes architecture direction and governance for multi-cloud strategy and initiatives. Implements enterprise cloud architecture strategy and leads the adoption of cloud services. Executes and refines the cloud platform strategy. Formulates architecture, establishes governance, manages cloud providers, facilitates adoption and participates in the cloud Center of Enablement (CCOE). Acts as a liaison and consultant to various technology organizations on best practices, principles and processes required to leverage best in class cloud capabilities and technologies.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
-Design, build, facilitate and support cloud initiatives on multiple fronts, including participating in the CCOE.
-Understand the executive vision and make it a reality, while overseeing the cloud adoption and governance process. Communicate and collaborate to promote strong partnerships between the architects, engineers, developers and business stakeholders.
-Demonstrate understanding of cloud specific technical aspects in multiple areas of expertise and provide recommendations for solutions and designs. The areas expertise may be any aspect of information, technology, technique, method, process, product, or application area.
-Support appropriate design standards, methods and tools and ensure that they are applied effectively.
-Assist with the  development of cloud enabled enterprise business solutions that combine knowledge of business strategies, processes and gaps, technological options, and process facilitation techniques.
-Provide leadership and mentoring in their areas of expertise and architecture to peers, developers, and management and business users including technical expertise, coaching and ad-hoc training.
-Develop an understanding of the inter-dependency between the Cloud Architecture strategy and  Enterprise Architecture strategy
-Other duties as assigned or requested.

EDUCATION
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field

Substitutions
6 years of related and progressive experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree

EXPERIENCE
Required
-3 years of Technical expertise in both mainframe and/or open systems environments (system software, application software, databases, etc

To Include
-1 year of Technology lead with technical decision making responsibilities OR
-1 year of IT solution delivery or in providing consultative solution architecture and support services of Enterprise scope and depth

Preferred
-3 years in the Healthcare Industry

SKILLS
-Broad technical experience and understanding of multiple disciplines including; Automation and Orchestration, Infrastructure and Operations, Enterprise Integration, Application Architecture, Security Architecture and External hosting practices 
-Demonstrate solid understanding of technical security that protects the organization’s assets. 
-Awareness of security policies, network security, data security and security event management to adopt cloud security services
-Knowledge and understanding of industry patterns for application architecture and integration
-Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
-Broad IT platform and application expertise
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Understanding of architectural disciplines and industry standards, The Open Group Framework Architecture (TOGAF), Lean, Six Sigma, Information
-Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) concepts, constructs and terminology
-Ability to engage mid level business and IT leadership to understand the goals of the organization
-Clearly communicate business strategies, and articulate dependencies and requirements, to business leaders
-Demonstrate basic understanding of IT budgeting, IT contracts and clauses such as indemnification, notification and limitation of liability
