We are seeking an exceptionally qualified individual to serve as the Executive Director at Multicultural Community Services of the Pioneer Valley, Inc. (MCS). An organization that provides support to individuals with developmental disabilities. MCS is a private non-profit organization with a $30 million budget, funded primarily by the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services (DDS) and MassHealth/Medicaid. MCS was established over 40 years ago and currently supports over 3,000 individuals throughout western Massachusetts. MCS is committed to providing culturally and ethnically responsive support that enhances the capacities of individuals with developmental disabilities, and their families, to maximize their quality of life as individuals and as members of the larger community. As the Executive Director you will be responsible for over 700 full time and part time employees and you'll be leading and inspiring a management team whose purpose will be to effectively address the needs, and preferences of our clients and their families. We're looking for a caring and knowledgeable individual to join our great organization and help inspire leadership and financial stability so our agency can continue to grow and be able to provide exceptional services to the developmentally disabled community.

Job duties will include:

1. Attend all Board of Directors meetings and other committee meetings as required.

2. Assist the Board of Directors on all matters involving the agency.

3. Assist the Board of Directors and MCS staff with organizational development

initiatives and implementation strategies.

4. Oversee the implementation of the annual Operational Plan as approved by

the Board of Directors.

5. Develop annual budgets and supervise the preparation of monthly financial

statements for presentation to the Board of Directors for their review and approval.

6. Negotiate service contracts, leases, rental agreements, and capital purchases

for the agency.

7. Interview, select, and supervise senior management personnel.

8. Lead and facilitate senior management meetings; special projects and

other working committees as needed.

9. Develop community liaisons, and represent the organization through participation at

provider and trade association meetings.

10. Other responsibilities as outlined by the Board of Directors.

Qualifications:

1. Strong administrative, communication, and problem-solving skills.

2. Hold a college degree, preferably a master's degree in a relevant field.

3. Have a minimum of seven years of senior-level management and/or supervisory experience.

4. Thorough knowledge of Massachusetts Developmental Disability system
