Moxie Solar is seeking to hire an enthusiastic PV Designer.

Review site photos for additional electrical or structural work required
Prepare plan sets using AutoCAD
Create detailed electrical and structural drawings from site survey photos and notes
Coordinate with local utility and AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) to ensure the project meets their requirements
Create permit packages for timely submission to the AHJ
Proactively calling AHJs and checking on status of submission, and providing any outstanding information/documentation
Request for structural letters and provide all necessary information needed for the PE to create a letter for needed projects
Communicating with the Sales team & Operations team and aid with their requests
Communicating with the customer for design approval and answering their questions regarding the design
Create as-built plans for each project when needed
Going to the site location for inspection or to gather any information (may require working at heights and on steep roofs)
Working with site and service team as needed
Other duties as needed
Must have 2+ years of AutoCAD drafting experience
Basic knowledge of electrical and structural engineering
Knowledgeable of Solar Photovoltaic design for both residential and commercial is preferred
Good with math and geometry
Proficient with excel or google spreadsheet
Attention to detail and good organizational skills
Customer service and people skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
