Parts Clerk / Manager Trainee

Morrison Industrial is currently looking to fill the opportunity of a Parts Assistant at our Grand Rapids, MI location. This person should be well-organized, self-motivated, and mechanically inclined. The main responsibilities for this position would be looking up parts for technicians, taking customer calls for parts, picking up and deliveries of parts, shipping and receiving parts, and overseeing inventory management including technician van replenishment, and warehoused parts.

Full-time, Monday-Friday 1st shift position, 40hrs/week with the option of overtime occasionally. Paid Weekly.

General Responsibilities

• Identify parts requested and provide pricing.
• Receive parts from vendor shipments arriving from common truck carriers.
• Understanding workflow and process including daily tasks such as reviewing and approving work orders, looking up and ordering parts, and helping with customer quotes
• Inventory management
• Parts sourcing and ordering, Restocking
• Vendor communication
• Looking up parts (reading parts manuals and diagrams)
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and manage tasks to completion.
• Work independently while enjoying the benefits of being a member of a team.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude
• General computer skills (Microsoft Office 365)
• Strong Desire to learn
• Excellent Multitasking Skills
