Job Description
The Tests Automation Leader will be responsible for building the tests automation practice within the Criminal Justice and Public Security Business Line in Anaheim, California.
The Tests Automation Leader will work closely with

  • Product Development to
  • Reuse existing tools and infrastructure already in place within the Product Development group
  • Integrate end to end testing from product development to system customization and integration
  • Program Management to
  • Define and implement relevant automated tests to ensure quality and reduce future manual testing of future system upgrades
  • Train existing resources on tests automation and test driven design
  • Onboard new resources in the automated testing team

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Plans, creates, executes automated test cases
  • Documents, analyzes and interprets developmental tests for new and/or modified products or product components; documents outcomes
  • Supports test environment software installations, integration and configuration
  • Investigates and resolves operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel
  • Tracks and prioritizes bugs
  • Follows-up project tracking
  • Devises and automate testing procedures for integrated and customized software
  • Participates in the development, maintenance and refinement of internal quality control and reliability programs and support
  • Guides and directs lower level personnel on the set-up and performance of tests
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Skills
  • Must demonstrate a proficient knowledge of:
  • Testing methodology and SDLC
  • Automated testing tools and methods
  • Database concepts with experience on a major database server such as SQL and Oracle Servers and Redhat Linux
  • Basic scripting/programming concepts such as Python, XLM, C/C++
  • Internet technologies, including web architecture, web server configuration, HTML, XML, SOAP and other specific protocols
  • Proficient with MS Office programs and experience installing configuring, and administering Windows operating systems and workstations to servers
  • Must have good organizational and time-management skills in order to prioritize workload and handle multiple projects concurrently
  • Must have good problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills; must be able to confront and resolve conflict constructively
  • Demonstrate good initiative and sound judgment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication as well interpersonal skills to be able to interact effectively and precisely with company staff and clients
  • Must be able to work in a self-directed and efficient manner

Required Experience
  • Must have a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience in a related discipline
  • Must have a minimum of five years' prior experience in software testing to include developing test case, planning and conducting multiple types of software test: throughput, response time, stress, reliability, endurance, etc.
  • Must have experience with both manual and automated testing tools and with writing test plans/procedures and SW-CMM
  • Must have experience with Java and must be able to diagnose errors in Java-based programs and query database tables is necessary
  • Must have experience with configuring and troubleshooting Unix, PC and network based hardware
