Status:                               Nonexempt, Full Time  
Location:                           Santa Monica Office (some amount of remote work may be possible)

Position Purpose:
The Marketing Coordinator/Graphic Designer serves continuously as an advocate for the company’s external-facing image and needs, managing brand messaging across all team members and departments. This position leads the effort in creating templates and guides for high-volume items. Collaborates with firm principals, team members, business development managers, and creative director to complete the responsibilities outlined below.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



The ideal candidate will have a natural eye for creative digital design and a drive to inspire dramatic ideas that connect with various audiences.

  • Design and produce a variety of print and digital collateral from concept to final production
  • Develop layout and typographical treatment using digital methods for promotional and marketing material, project proposals, project presentations, and other print or digital material as required
  • Use graphic design expertise to interpret the needs of the Marketing team, including executives and interdepartmental teams
  • Coordinate deliverables with a team of individuals
  • Create and enhance brand awareness through marketing materials and advertisements
  • Build impactful communications tailored for social media based on an understanding of platforms and their requirements


The Marketing department at Morley Builders supports the business development, marketing, and public relations efforts of the firm. This position works together with the Marketing team and VP of Project Development to facilitate marketing strategies that further the company’s objectives.

  • Maintain digital graphics and assets library (narratives, project data, photographs, drawings, videos, published media). Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the marketing department’s activities
  • Maintain relationships with operations/project staff and employees across the business to understand skills and talents that will differentiate Morley Builders
  • Provide superior editing and proofreading support
  • Research new software or design concepts / keep abreast of existing and emerging media and marketing trends
  • Prepare award submittals
  • Coordinate and engage in project photography
  • Assist in the development of annual, long- and short-term marketing strategies and plans
  • Utilize best practices in maintaining and updating project information, resumes, and other information in our marketing files



  • 4-year bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, Graphics, and/or equivalent experience
  • Professional and academic training in graphic design, photography, and editorial practices, including layout, design, and editing

Experience Required

  • 2-5 years of related experience
  • Industry experience preferred


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA's)

  • Possess knowledge of graphic design methods, especially typography, layout, and production methods
  • Possess strong creative intuition combined with a solid understanding of asset formats
  • Adobe Creative Suite (specifically, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Understanding of trade software including CRM, Microsoft Office
  • Experience with and ability to engage all marketing mediums, including web, print, advertising, video, and social media
  • Ability to create, design, and illustrate marketing collateral such as graphics, photographs, layouts, merchandise, signage, social media ads, digital advertisements, and other visuals
  • Collaborative, self-motivator with strong organizational skills.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Periodic travel to job sites, meetings, industry events
  • Finger dexterity sufficient to use a computer and to complete paperwork activities
  • Vision sufficient to use a computer, read written materials, and complete paperwork activities
  • Hearing is sufficient to communicate with individuals by telephone and in-person
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

Work Environment:

  • Office setting with quiet to moderate noise levels in a temperature-controlled environment
  • Works in other areas at the facility as needed
