About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to join us as our first Pre Sales Director, supporting growth in our most important market. We have an established base of Tier 1 life insurance customers that are benefiting from our platform, including some of the largest insurers in the United States. You will own the pre-sales process, including technical requirements gathering and platform demonstrations and work alongside our sales team to win deals with both existing and new customers. You will also work closely with our Product and Customer Success teams to inform our platform roadmap and assist in ensuring that the platform is easily adopted and embedded by customers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Play a key role in our US sales squad to grow footprint and revenue with new and existing customers
- Own the pre-sales process, including technical requirements gathering, platform demonstrations and scoping of customer deployments and integrations. utilizing your industry expertise to understand our customer’s needs and pain points
- Plan and execute pre-sales strategies in response to market and customer needs
- Work closely with the product management team to contribute to product strategy and roadmap
- Actively observe customer behavior and potential objections and advise on future platform roadmap direction
- Liaise with the marketing team to create thought leadership content and attend conferences
- Build enduring relationships with customers and partners
- Provide technical support throughout the enterprise sales process, including supporting support the preparation of sales proposals
Skills Required:
- 5+ years of enterprise software Pre-Sales experience, ideally within the life insurance industry
- Ideally, you’ll come from an actuarial background or have worked closely with actuaries in the past
- Comfortable (and thrive!) pitching to enterprise C-level executives
- Strong understanding of Enterprise Software and, ideally Cloud/SaaS
The Presales Director will participate in a sales compensation plan. The expected total compensation for this role is $220,000-$240,000+ (on target earnings / OTE, Commission is uncapped). The base compensation range is $120,000 - $140,000.
