The VP of Programs is a key member of the leadership team at MOC and will report to the Executive Director/CEO. The VP of Programs will supervise numerous Program Directors including but not limited to the Directors of Mental Health, Youth Programs, CARE,Shelter, and Housing. S/he will be responsible for improving the portfolio of programs offered through the implementation of new service ideas developed by the leadership team.. In addition, the VP will have an agency-wide shared responsibility for strengthening the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for program planning, organizing, operating, and staffing for supervised departments.
Responsible for implementation of new services developed in partnership with the leadership team.
Responsible for monthly program reports for the board of directors.
Assist the VP of Strategy and Innovation in developing strategies for program growth.
Responsible for the efficiency, effectiveness, and integration of all supervised programs.
In partnership with the VP of Finance and Operations monitor budgets and expenditures of supervised departments and contracts.
Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of client management system.
Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to fulfill the organizational vision of improving connected service delivery.
Identify program risks in partnership with Program Directors and create, implement, and monitor corrective action plans as applicable.
Establish relationships with local, state, and federal funding sources to protect valuable program resources.
Provide assistance in the overall stewardship of the organization and maintain smooth channels of communication between programs and the leadership team.
At least three years of management experience in related fields or two years experience in a comparable position.
Mental Health, Clinical, or Housing Development experience a plus but not necessary.
Ability to develop basic programmatic budgets and review simple financial statements.
Ability to comprehend federal and state regulations related to program work.
Ability to facilitate team meetings with clear goals, objectives, and agendas.
Excellent communication skills including proven writing experience.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Ability to work with diverse staff and client populations.
