Job Description

Moneta is looking for a Compensation and Performance Specialist. This person will assist in the design, implementation and monitoring of a competitive compensation and rewards program to attract top talents and retain valued employees in accordance with the organization’s objectives. Responsibilities

Compensation Management

  • Develop and define a fair, equitable and competitive compensation policy that aligns with overall strategy and business goals.
  • Develop/refine and implement (following approval) program to measure, improve, and reward employee performance that aligns with overall employee value proposition strategy.
  • Develop specific pay plans and strategies as needed for targeted position groups to compete with market conditions and trends, ensuring overall internal equity and consistency with company policies.
  • Ensure that compensation practices are in compliance with current legislation on employee remuneration. 
  • Continuously monitor, evaluate, and recommend improvements/revisions to compensation policies and processes in order to reflect current realities.
  • Liaise with the Finance department and external tax consultants to design compensation structures that minimize tax exposures and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations. 
  • Participate in salary and labor market surveys to determine prevailing pay rates and benefits.
  • Conducts job analysis and evaluation on current roles.
  • Prepares and maintains job descriptions for each position in the organization; ensures descriptions accurately reflect the work being performed.
  • Ensure appropriate classification of exempt vs non-exempt status, auditing as the firm grows.
  • Utilizes technology (HRIS) for ease of administration in compensation management.

Performance Management

  • Participate in the formulation and implementation of effective performance and career management strategies that would help sustain a performance driven culture and ensure appropriate balance between individual goals and overall business strategy.
  • Collaborate with other departments to implement the competency framework system within the company and train managers to carry out competency assessment, assist in interviewing guides, determine employee development needs, and provide support.
  • Support the development and implementation of the organization’s performance management policy and provide advice and recommendations to management.
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of core competencies, core values, and key performance measures needed to drive performance.
  • Initiate the performance management process organization-wide, ensuring all individuals are aware of responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Provide ongoing oversight and support to ensure that performance measures are being used to effectively manage performance and effect organizational change.
  • Provide training to all levels of staff on performance management and systems.
  • Utilize technology (HRIS) to optimize and automate performance management and ensure alignment with compensation practices.
  • Assist in tracking and maintaining employee performance files to ensure annual evaluation and documentation.
  • Proactively identify and address staff appraisal issues and/or conflicts, including post-appraisal appeals. 
  • Keep abreast with global and local best practices and continually identify new strategies/opportunities, with respect to compensation and performance management for the benefit of the organization.
Qualifications

  • B.S. or B.A. Business or Human Resources, preferred
  • 3 – 5+ years of related expereince pertaining to compensation strategy.
  • Performance strategy related experience, preferred
  • Attention to detail and public speaking skills, preferred
  • Proficient in Paylocity, preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to interact well with different levels of leadership and employees.
