Monarch Investment and Management Group, "Monarch" has been actively involved in Multifamily Housing investment since 1992. We currently own and manage over 70,000 apartment homes in 20 states, making us the 10th largest multifamily housing owner in the country. We are is seeking an experienced Real Estate Attorney to join our in-house transactions team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Under the direction and supervision of Monarch's General Counsel of Real Estate, this position will work on commercial real estate transactions and other transactional matters.

The ideal candidate will have a background in negotiating, reviewing, and drafting a wide-range of real estate-related documentation, including purchase and sale agreements, financing documentation, commercial lease agreements, and easement agreements, as well as reviewing and managing real estate-related due diligence. Some responsibilities include: * Negotiate, review, analyze, and draft a variety of real estate-related documents. * Coordinate and facilitate commercial real estate transactions from start to finish and follow-up with post-closing matters. * Review and analyze title commitments and documents referenced therein and surveys, address comments and resolve objections. * Review and analyze other due diligence items for pending transactions. * Interact and communicate with investors, transaction partners, and adverse parties. * Form and organize limited liability companies. * Supervise legal administrative assistant and paralegal. Qualifications: * At least five years of previous experience in commercial real estate transactions/closings, including experience with acquisitions, dispositions, and financings. * Active license to practice law and in good standing in Michigan. * Strong analytical and organizational skills. * Ability to pay close attention to detail. * Ability to conduct legal research Please Include a cover letter and transcripts with your application for consideration.
