Job Description

The Quality Engineer is responsible for leading projects that continuously improve the quality of our products and processes. Working as a project leader, this engineer works closely with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues as quickly & efficiently as possible by identifying root causes and initiating permanent corrective actions. They will also ensure control plans and associated documentation are implemented effectively and maintained by performing product and process audits. 




  • Serve as a cross-functional technical lead in statistical analysis techniques, experimental design, data analysis, sampling techniques and other traditional QA Engineering areas of expertise. 
  • Lead, assist, support, and document the quality effort for the manufacturing process analyzing Customer Acceptance, First Pass Yield, and Non-conformance data to meet the quality metrics. 
  • Assist in investigating and correcting quality-related issues (including customer complaints) through collaboration with other departments using different problem-solving methodologies like 8D, Kaizen, DMAIC, 5 WHY, Cause and effect diagram, etc. 
  • Perform regular process and product audits to ensure product quality and SOP conformance, identify areas of improvement, and drive them to completion to ensure that consistent high-quality product is delivered. 
  • Assist in the implementation of policies, operating procedures, quality systems, and programs that ensure proper testing, evaluation, inspection, and technical support in order to meet product quality standards.  
  • Conduct First Article Inspection reports to ensure product is conforming to Technical Data Package 
  • Monitor each supplier's performance through measurement of production line statistics, company inspections, and audits. 
  • Ensure timely disposition of scrap and non-conforming materials 



  • Proficient experience in Production Process Validation, test, equipment, instrumentation, and qualification of Mechanical/Electrical and Fabricated products  
  • Ensure compliance and assist with adherence to a Quality Management system (TS16949/ISO9001) including equipment calibration/control  
  • Previous experience in the PCB/PWB manufacturing industry preferred  
  • Working knowledge of PWB/CCA inspection/test, equipment, and instrumentation (IPC-A-600 or IPC-A-610 certification desired) 
  • Good Analytics, problem-solving, decision-making, and root cause analysis skills with lean manufacturing, 5S, kaizen, and formalized 8D process experience. 



  • College Degree in Engineering or related field referred but may consider experience in lieu of degree. 
  • 3 years’ experience with visual and CMM measuring systems.  
  • Experience in developing/working in an ISO/TS 16949 or ISO 9001 environment 
  • Experience with fixtures used in visual inspections and CMM inspections. 
  • APQP, PPAP, 1st piece approval experience. 



  • Occasional travel to Supplier facilities 



  • Must be able to lift, stand for periods of time and work in a field support environment.
